About
“A Story for the Eleventh Hour,” a myth for the healing of our planet, was originally a set of 15 paintings on display at the E.M. Donahue Gallery in New York City in 1994. This print series is the result of a Rockefeller Family Fund Grant based on the original paintings. The 6 prints tell the story of humanity solving our ecological and human problems. The first print, “Beginning,” is a visualization of our original spark of life. The second print, “Coalescence,” depicts how we move from the eye of ego to the eye of enlightenment. The third print, “And the lotos rose, quietly, quietly” depicts the Buddha, a symbol of enlightenment, cradling the planet. The fourth print, “The Return: Charging the Species at the Eleventh Hour,” depicts the Buddha’s energy flowing through the acupuncture points of the hands and feet to all sentient beings for the healing of the planet. This cosmological journey of being takes one through the stages of self into the peace of enlightenment. The fifth print, “Reconciled among the stars,” depicts the move from individual to collective enlightenment - beaming healing energy to all sentient beings. The sixth print, “Shantih, shantih, shantih,” depicts the Buddha receding in importance because all sentient beings are enlightened.
